ISSUE #6: CHID
Authored by CD Magazine
Character Defamation Volume 6 is here.
We called this one Sensitive Gangster because we’re learning that being soft and being strong aren’t opposites. You can feel deeply and still move with confidence. You can be vulnerable and still hold your ground. That’s what this issue is about. A little more honest, a little more emotional, still bold.
THE JOURNEY
This cover belongs to Chid, a Toronto content creator with a calm presence and sharp eye. She started creating content just for fun. Filming in her room, trying out ideas, playing with angles. There wasn’t a big moment that made her blow up. She just kept going. Kept showing up. Now she’s grown a platform that feels like her. She talks about beauty, life, God, and becoming more confident. Her journey shows what happens when you stay consistent, stay grounded, and don’t try to fit into every trend. She’s still growing, but she’s already left her mark.

SLAND
Red Bull gives steady energy, and we wanted to show that in a soft but fun way. So we created a tennis date. Something cute, active, and full of motion. You need energy to play, just like you need energy to love. Love isn’t passive, it’s effort. It’s showing up, running after each other, matching pace, laughing in between. That’s what this shoot is about. A tennis date powered by Red Bull. Light, sweet, and moving. Just like love should be.
MEET: Rasha Jules
Rasha Jules is a Haitian Canadian photographer and the founder of Blue Hour Magazine, based in Calgary. She’s been capturing images since 2019, and you can feel her care in every shot. Her work isn’t just pretty. It has meaning. Through Blue Hour, she’s building space for creatives who don’t always get seen. Her eye is clean, her vision is clear, and her message is loud even when she’s quiet.
